The School of Food and Biological Engineering held the establishment ceremony of the International Joint Laboratory of Food Science Nutrition and Intelligent Processing and Foreign Experts Academic Reports

On the morning of August 1, 2024, in the third lecture hall of the Conference Center, Jiangsu University, School of Food and Biological Engineering held the establishment ceremony of the international Joint Laboratory of Food Science, Nutrition, and Intelligent Processing. Four foreign experts then presented their academic reports. Zou Xiaobo, the Vice President of Jiangsu University, graced the event with his presence. The activity was chaired by the head of the international office, Yong Cui, and attracted the attendance of many teachers, graduates, and international students.

Zou Xiaobo and Maurizio Battino unveiled the International Joint Laboratory of Food Science, Nutrition, and Intelligent Processing. Zou Xiaobo congratulated the establishment of the International Joint Laboratory of Food Science, Nutrition, and Intelligent Processing, warmly welcomed the arrival of the foreign experts, and hoped that the International Joint Laboratory could play a practical role, actively innovate, and build a bridge for cooperation and exchange between our university and overseas universities.

Foreign experts of the International Joint Laboratory, Professor Maurizio Battino of Polytechnic University of Marche, Professor Maria Daglia of the University of Naples Federico II, Professor Esra Capanoglu of Istanbul Technical University, and Associate Professor Francesca Giampieri of the European University of Atlantic shared various academic reports on the latest research progress in bioactive compounds, functional food, nutrition, health evaluation, etc.

The reports of international experts were rich in content, easy to understand, interesting, and very educative. After the report, the professors, attending teachers, and students had a lively discussion.

These reports will broaden the research horizons of teachers and students, effectively strengthen the discipline construction of food science and engineering, and play a positive role in promoting the internationalization of the School of Food and Biological Engineering. This academic exchange activity will build an exchange platform and cooperation bridge between Jiangsu University and the overseas universities.
